VISION
“To make and grow disciples in Jesus”
Our aim as a church is to reach people for Jesus, to see them come to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour and to see their faith grow and develop. We recognise to be a Disciple means to acknowledge Jesus as Lord, to be devoted to Jesus and to see a life changed by the Grace of God. To that end, we will go and tell what God has done. So, that His word would convict hearts and minds to consider the good news of Jesus.

Acts 2 and the fellowship of the believers -
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”
Our Mission and values are based on Acts 2:42, which gives a solid foundation to making and growing Disciples in Jesus.
Our Vision Principles:
Teaching the Bible
The word of God was everything to the early believers and it should be everything to us here today. We should be rooted in it, guided by it and living for it. 2 Timothy 3:16 says “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” There is no situation in our lives or the life of the church where the word of God is not appropriate. That is why in Acts 20:27 Paul says, “For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.”
Sharing in fellowship
The early church came together to learn from God’s word and when they did so, they enjoyed fellowship together. They literally met together, ate together and in some cases lived together. They were united in one thing – the risen saviour, Jesus Christ. They encouraged one another, to seek Jesus, to find Joy in the risen King and to devote their lives to him, just as it says in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 – “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up.”
Gospel through communion
John 15:13 – “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” The early church was united in the inexpressible joy that the resurrection brings but they were also united in their remembrance of the sacrifice that set them free from the burden of sin – they broke bread daily in their homes!
Meaningful prayer
The beauty of Jesus defeating death is that he is alive. A dead God cannot hear us, a dead King is powerless! Yet in Jesus there is hope, he is alive, and he is our mediator, making Peace between man and God. The early church realized this and so devoted themselves to prayer, to talking with Jesus! They would know the truth of Psalm 17:6 – “I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words.”
Meaningful worship
1 Chronicles 16:23-34 says “Sing to the Lord, all the earth! Tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvellous works among all the peoples! For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendour and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his place. Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength! Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him!
