LEADERSHIP

Daniel Pollin

Pastor

Responsible for: Preaching and teaching the Word of God, overall leadership and pastoral oversight of the church.

I originally hail from Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland. After a series of gracious prompts from the Lord, I started taking His call to follow Him seriously in my late teenage years. I studied at Queen's University/Belfast Bible College, where I met my lovely wife, Malin. After serving as a volunteer in a church plant in Belfast and as associate pastor in Seattle, USA, I was called to Scotland to revitalise a rural church in the beautiful village of Pittenweem. Thirteen years later, the Lord called us to Lincoln Baptist Church, and we are very excited to see what He has in store. Our passion is to see Jesus at the heart of the church, through the preaching of His word and the praising of His name, and the church at the heart of our local community.

Having grown up on a farm, I love the great outdoors and have a fondness for reading, although my ambitions are greater than my achievements in this area! Come, grab a cup of tea with us and find out more about LBC and what the Lord can do.

Richard Windle

Church Secretary

Responsible for: Sunday services, worship

I became a Christian as a teenager and have been a member of various Baptist and FIEC churches as I have moved around the country for work and study. I have been at Lincoln Baptist Church since 2000, when I moved to Lincoln with my wife, Grace and our family. My main areas of work within the fellowship have focused on the worship group and our young people.

I’m an Associate Professor at a local university where my teaching and research focuses on digital technology use within health care and medicine. I like to run to keep fit. My family and home life keeps me busy, but for relaxation, it’s about the bass! I play tuba in local brass bands and I am also learning the bass guitar.

My passion for LBC is for us to be a church that is accessible and open to everyone, takes the spiritual growth of its members very seriously and most importantly puts Jesus at the centre of all we do.

I am married to Mark and we have two grown-up sons. I have been a member of LBC for over 40 years and have attended this church all my life. I have had different roles within the church over this time including leading under 11s children’s outreach, being part of the worship team and projection team. I am currently the Church Treasurer and deal with all things finance related.

After over 25 years as a headteacher of a primary school, I have now retired. I enjoy time with my family and am starting to settle into this new chapter of my life! I look forward to seeing what the Lord wants me to do next. I enjoy all things creative including singing and am a member of a local choir.

Responsible for: Teaching, Pastoral Support

I retired as a Baptist Minister in August 2020 after 22 years of ministry, my wife and I knowing the Lord's leading of us to join Lincoln Baptist Church and play our part in the Church's avowed aim 'To make and grow disciples in Jesus'. Recently, I was humbled to be asked to join the Church's Leadership Team and be involved in developing the pastoral and teaching work of the Church. I also lead a preaching class of 4 of our men: they are an inspiration to us all, under God, and it is a joy to assist prayerfully in their development.
